Isaac Garfinkle is the founder with nearly a decade of professional experience in the retail astronomy industry since 2016. He's worked as a technical support specialist for High Point Scientific, customer service manager for Stellarvue Telescopes, and with Agena Astro's marketing department. Isaac is also a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and former assistant director for the Grand Mesa Observatory. His combined technical expertise and therapeutic background enables calm, solution-focused support.

We cannot guarantee any specific results, as astronomy depends on factors beyond our control like weather and atmospheric conditions. However, we guarantee that our time will be spent fully devoted to helping you solve your issues to the best of our technician's abilities. What are your technical support hours?
After-Hours Astronomy offers appointment-only, one-on-one technical support between 9pm - 12am (Mountain Time). These hours are designed specifically to help astronomers when their gear is actually set up under the stars. This eliminates waiting for traditional retail outlets that close during prime observing time.
What technical issues can you help resolve?
Our technical support covers telescope setup and alignment, astrophotography equipment problems, mount and tracking difficulties, and software configuration issues. We also help with equipment malfunctions, cable problems, driver issues, and mechanical failures. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned veteran, we're happy to help with all your technical support needs.

We also offer small-group dark sky excursions and astronomy skills workshops. All events include knowledgeable staff to guide you and your guests on an incredible tour of the night sky.

We offer small group excursions to dark sky locations around Colorado and the Southwestern United States. These tours take you to areas with minimal light pollution for an unparalleled viewing experience. We use professional-grade equipment to showcase the night sky as it was meant to be seen.
What workshop offerings do you have?
We offer workshops focused on technical aspects of astronomy and astrophotography, as well as creative events and partnerships with local businesses. Workshop topics include astronomy skills development and equipment training, and we plan to offer them at a variety of locations around the state (both dark-sky friendly and while battling more traditional urban light pollution). And we eventually plan to partner with other small businesses offering meditation workshops, musical events, culinary experiences with local chefs, and special events with local distilleries and breweries.

How do I book your services?
Technical support must be booked online through our website booking system. Private events and dark-sky trips must be booked directly with an invoice by contacting us. Workshops will be held using a ticketing system, with links provided as the events become available.
